Wheat Bonus Eligibility Questions
What types of wheat are eligible?
Eligible growers may enroll wheat acres harvested for grain, including winter wheat, spring wheat, and durum wheat, provided all program eligibility requirements are met.
Does wheat need to be harvested to qualify?
Yes. To be eligible for the 2026 Bayer Carbon Program No-Till Wheat Bonus opportunity, wheat must be harvested for grain. Acres that are terminated prior to harvest would not qualify for the wheat incentive opportunity.
What tillage practices qualify?
Eligible wheat acres must be maintained under a qualifying
no-till system throughout the crop rotation. Strip-till practices during corn or soybean years may also qualify, depending on field history and program requirements.
What is considered an eligible baseline?
To qualify, fields must have consistently implemented qualifying no-till practices after August 30, 2019. Additional field history and management information may be reviewed as part of the enrollment and verification process.
Can wheat straw be baled or removed?
To maintain eligibility, crop residue should remain on eligible acres following harvest. Residue removal outside of approved grazing practices is not allowed under program requirements.
